RESUME FOR PETER G. ROBINSON

Peter Gamble Robinson grew up in Winter Park, Florida.  He graduated from  Phillips Exeter Academy in 1966 and from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1970.  While in college, he worked for the Southwestern Company of Nashville, Tennessee where he was one of their top 20 student managers.

Peter began working for the family owned Laurel Corporations in 1970. He worked in all branches of the companies from superintending commercial and residential construction to buying and developing new land.  In 1973, local officials and business leaders encouraged the family to expand the company’s building operation into Indian River County to provide quality affordable housing.  Peter moved his family to Vero Beach in 1974. Peter is a registered Real Estate Broker and a State Certified General Contractor.  He is the Broker and President of Laurel Agency, Inc. and leads a team of twenty-eight talented realtors helping people purchase homes, investments, land and businesses.

Mr. Robinson is a member and Past Chairman of the Indian River County Professional Services Advisory Committee.  He is Chairman of the Vero Beach and Indian River County Building Board of Appeals and Vice Chairman of Indian River County Economic Development Council and is a member of the MLS Committee for the Indian River County Board of Realtors. He is Past President of the Treasure Coast Builders Association, Past Area IV Vice President for the Florida Home Builders Association, and in 1985 was chosen the outstanding Builder Member of the Treasure Coast Builders Association. Mr. Robinson was the Founding Chairman of The Education Foundation of Indian River County and is a Past President of the Indian River Council of 100. He is also a Past President of the Dartmouth Club of the Treasure Coast.     

He is married to Debb Robinson who is active in the business as Vice President of Laurel Homes and Laurel Builders and is an active Realtor with Laurel Agency.  Mrs. Robinson is a State Certified General Contractor, Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate, and a State Licensed Interior Designer.   She is in charge of construction and land acquisition in the Vero Beach area for the Laurel Corporations.  Mrs. Robinson is Past President of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, a founding Board Member of The Education Foundation of Indian River County and is the Founding Chairman of the Indian River County Regional Science and Engineering Fair. The Robinson Award that is given every year at the Regional Science Fair is awarded in her honor. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Foundation for Future Scientists and serves on the Harbor Federal Advisory Board.

The Robinsons were very active for many years in the Boy Scouts of America and their two sons, Joseph and Peter, are both Eagle Scouts.  Peter is an MFA graduate of U.S.C. Film School and active in the movie industry in L.A. He has been involved with numerous films including House of Sand and Fog, Catwoman,  Scooby Doo 2, and Wild Hogs. He and his wife, Tracey, live in Los Angeles.  Joseph is a graduate of the business program at the University of Central Florida and works as a Realtor with the Laurel family of companies.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys running with his friends at 6 A.M. at Jaycee Park in Vero Beach.
